Re: Picture of the day thread!
Out trying to find a sledding hill with my daughter. Blasted around and up and down a couple hills to break some tracks in. Was fun. Rims were shining today. Most of the time they are a flat black. I thought it would be brighter more of the time

Re: Picture of the day thread!
He’s making progress still. Those are used 37”ko2’s for tire reference. Cheap rollers too get things dialed in. Should work fairly well with the longer wheelbase but still short and not really any overhangs. The diesel is really low so he’ll still have a really low cg on that wheelbase and not be tippy.

Ya. He couldn’t really do the rear fenders ahead of time until he gets the axles positioned and ride height dialed in. He had to put the front fenders back on as wellScott Cee AKA 2drx4 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 6:29 pm That looks pretty sweet. Needs some more trimming in the rear.

Without shocks/coils driveshaft hooked up the rear 4 link seems to cycle without binding. It’s getting close. Still needs brake lines, rear quarter panels done and spring and shock frame mounts done

“Got the brakes adjusted and working, all my shocks in,almost enough 1/4 clearance. Just need to paint my fenders, install drive shafts, and hook up the parking brake cable, then it's time to break in some gears.I could have lifted it more, but the hoist was maxed out. It looks like i should be able to lift the one tire about 36", slightly more than than the old 22" lol The back tire rubs the rear cross member, and i didn't cut high enough on the body. The front bump stops can go back to factory height, without the spacer i installed.”

Nice transformation on that thing, and it looks like it should perform well.

Re: Picture of the day thread!
Got called out Sunday afternoon for a rescue call. Buddy got his yj swamped out. Was a bit of a mess getting it out. Battery died while winching. I used all of my toes to pull him to the edge of the water, but waited for a friend to show up with his winch to do a redirect of a tree to line up better climbing the bank. Pulled oil plug and drained the water out of the oil pan, pulled the plugs, spit the water out, dried the distributor and it wouldn’t start. So I hooked the rope up and pulled him and it barfed a couple gallons of water out of the exhaust, then it fired up and drove home.

The thunder goat doesn’t have a lot of room left on the back with a spare 37

Re: Picture of the day thread!
Well that’s the tire rack. The old one obviously didn’t hold a 37 but after a couple pushes when we were snow wheeling it didn’t work well either. Glad he’s getting this thing set

Seen both of these for sale in Japan. 360, 2wd and 20 grand price tags before shipping and landing but super rare. Be a cool street rod daily I think
