The Sport Trac
A couple years ago I bought a 2003 Sport Trac with the extensions of doing one tons and 40s. Plans changed to mild 2in lift and 35s. Bought a coilover conversion from Sportsman light truck. It gets rid of the torsion bars. Made a longer shackle for the back. 35 Nitto Trail Graplers. Should be a decent back road cruiser.

Re: The Sport Trac
I almost bought one of these before my first wj. They are a decent size. Curious to see it go.

Re: The Sport Trac
One of the guys at work wants to get one of these to build. I'll have to show him this.

The coilovers need more adjustment. And if I have to it will get more cuttingScott Cee AKA 2drx4 wrote:Looks rather tight with the 35s. I'm assuming it rubs if you flex it out?

Re: The Sport Trac
First trip with it was the Telkwa Pass. It did really good. One minor issue with some sketchy wiring on the inertia switch causing it to loose power to the fuel pump. Easy fix and made it home. It was about 500km round trip.

Re: The Sport Trac
Moved on to fixing the coolant leak. The factory thermostat housing is plastic and junk.
