Re: Super Shopper Special
I blew the air locker line in my Comanche too. Was going to redo it it copper-nickle and only use flexible hose for the last part. Never got to it and wound up just fishing more plastic line in.
The plastic line is just way too temperature sensitive though.

Re: Super Shopper Special
So figured I’d update the thread on the ole manvan. Decided to go full overland this year, just strait up craft beers and wifi boosters
There was a sale on this Freespirit hardshell and pulled the trigger. We actually love it and used it quite a bit this year. I had to build a new rack which I didn’t take any pics of but basically just copied the stock plastic rack and made it steel.

Rigged out the back with some pack outs and made a fold down table for the tire swing. It works pretty well

Re: Super Shopper Special
Glad to see you using it. This rig looks like it’s coming into its own. Functional and capable

Super awesome rig, really digging how you have set it up and that rear bumper/fold out looks pretty slick...
Quite the adventure Rig!
I'm keeping my eye open for a WJ, but the currant. Market for Jeeps here in Alberta is ridiculous atm.

Re: Super Shopper Special
I’m a long ways away but be careful with those words around here. I’ve got a mess of wj stuff here I’m looking at selling. A 4.0 99 right hand drive that’s in good shape aside from a heater that’s hit and miss and my old wheeling rig that’s pretty much a solid motor with spare body parts and jk front diffs for it.SkunkedGorillaz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 12:03 am

Re: Super Shopper Special
Are you having trouble finding the heater core replacement for the jeep?
If so have you thought about ordering it from a UK Dealer ship?

The heater core replacement isn't that bad of a job, I did the replacement in our 1st 2000 Grand Cherokee WJ when we aquired it 8 yesrs ago after bring quoted $2000 by multiple shops.
If your interested in doing the job yourself I have a Factory Service Manuals i could upload for you to download. Job should be a mirror of in the book.
Took me 2 evenings to do the job. One to roll the dash out and remove the hvac box and take it apart. The second to replace parts, install and reassemble the dash.
The Factory Service manual is very detailed and walks you through the whole process.

Re: Super Shopper Special
Being right hand drive as of last year they didn’t make right hand drive heater cores anywhere in the world. But I don’t think it’s the heater core. My build thread is on here with it. When I nose the rig down a really steep hill the heater starts working properly. It also has a weird electrical gremlin that went away for the most part when I fixed a couple ground wires. I’m leaning on the center stack control module or possibly a vacuum leak but the blend doors seem to be working. I’ve spent 4 years taking it apart and testing/trying things troubleshooting it. I’ve had enough. I’m not putting time into it. The rigs clean and solid otherwise.SkunkedGorillaz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 10:35 am Are you having trouble finding the heater core replacement for the jeep?
