Was doing the cat road shuffle early in the am. Took a picture of nadina mountain apparently there is old mineral exploration trails up there but the local hikers society has the whole area posted no motorized access

Throwing a way back photo to my previous career in the oilfield. The company stock chevy did not do well in the mud. The 6.0 was short on power, in mud like this it would be low range and 1-3 gear and all the rpm’s

Screw those roads. I hated it every time I had to drag a service trailer through that crap.Scoobienorth wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2019 6:18 pm Throwing a way back photo to my previous career in the oilfield. Re: Picture of the day thread!
For shits and giggles this past weekend I attended the 4WDABC beginners off road training course (mostly to support my buddy who put it together). It was actually a pretty enjoyable experience. Kinda neat to watch people with no wheeling experience or know how tackle an intermediate difficulty trail with no problems. Here’s a pic of an FJ cruiser tackling the washout corner on perspiration ridge.

Re: Picture of the day thread!
This one was fairly basic skills. Hill climbing, descents, off camber driving. Mostly basic skills. Picking a line and avoiding the clutch on hills. A lot of safety and common sense. It sounded like they would be doing more in the future possibly for higher experience levels and even recovery stuff

Had a guy place a ford dash in my suzuki project at work. It would actually fit pretty good with the cage
Tempted to post this picture on a certain Facebook suzuki samurai page where I often stir the pot with the purist.
Just to watch them lose their mind lol
