For what its worth on the lights i cut most of the heatsink off my 6" rigids and never had an issue. It always has airflow though i believe a lot of that heatsink is just adding weight and girth so you feel like you are getting your moneys worth.

100 percent agree on that as these have the classic roll bar mounted profile of an old KC light with the huge heat sink on the back of them

If I run the resi there I will be putting a 90 degree fitting off the shock and that will allow me to run the resi on the inside of that bar.

Here it is from another angle. Even if I leave the resi where it is the tire would be into the tube work and hood before it got to the line

I pulled the cab as I need to make a few cuts so it will fit a bit better then I will Fab up mounts so it can bolt to the cage. Doesn’t look like much without the cab on there

Mocking up brackets for the cab mounts. There is four places I can use factory bolts per side but the bottom of the a pillar isn’t covered. Since I’m having to remove the factory bead rolling down there to properly clear the cage I’ll add in a bolt up location there as well

Before I chopped annnnnd

And after I chopped.

First Notice the front leading edge has sprung as there is no weld actually on the front, only on the inside of the panel that I removed. Going to remedy that

Second above the speaker hole you can see where I’ve cleaned the paint off there is only two spot welds hold the windshield base to the kick panel going to add a couple stitch welds there
