nope, still waiting on last few parts to show up. figured i have the knuckle off might as well upgrade a few things i didnt have the money to do last time. should have everything this weeks so hope to get it back together this weekend

all my parts showed up so figured id try and get this turd back together. i had ordered bronze king pin bushings for the upper to beef everything up, so figured id put new pins in too. hear lots of horror stories of people trying to get them out so tried something little different and worked tits. instead of cutting or breaking all my tools in the shop trying i just welded a chuck of plate to it and beat it with a BFH and it came right out
the lower bearing race went in with some heat to the C but the gaps around it where not great at all. dry fit the seal in and its bad as .060 of a gap so sure seal will not stay in and wont seal for sure. put the bearing in and it didnt feel right in the race so put the knuckle back on and put load on the king pin and still doesnt feel great and im sure the race wont stay in place. so pretty much have to replace the C

Sucks about the bearing race. Another good way to remove the kingpins is to zipcut around the shoulder of the kingpin where it meets the C, it releases the tension off the threads. I did it on mine and they turned out easy.

Hahaha thatd be real larry style.
I actually ment the green retaining compound, like the loctite stuff, itll fill in small gaps and harden. And is also able to be removed with alot of heat.

the gaps are to big for that in my mind. when putting the race in its only touching on 2 stops and can feel the bearing is not happy as think those 2 spots are making it out of round. im worried that if i just slap it back together the race will either let loose and eat the C even more or the bearing will blow apart and yard sale everywhere. so went and picked up an empty king pin housing up from Mr Gutsy yesterday and will cut the C off that housing and swap it to my diff.
