the older 8x6.5 ones are all the same. the ones from a superduty are wider and have factory disc brakes but then i would have to redrill and rear gear ect.pointsnorth wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 11:50 am Is the sterling like the 14 bolt in that their wider if they came from a van ?

Got both the donor trans and my original pulled apart
Modifying the breather on the case, drilled this out
then tapped it so I can use a proper fitting and not just the factory plastic line that breaks off
I also cleaned up all the scaling on the case a dropped it off to be washed in a parts cleaner.

Re: 2020 Insanity Fab Winter Challenge Prep
finished up the disc brake swap with adding a proportioning valve inline at the master.
then went full ghetto fab. my rear shackles are meant for a newer F150 and i made them work on my OBS ford hangers but they just did not fit right. cause of this they moved around and messed up the bushings. so bought the correct shackles to fit my hangers but need them to be like 6 inches longer. so just cut the old ones and opened the new ones up a bit and welded them together very ghetto but should hold up for a few more runs and not destroy the bushings after one run

Probably last a long time given that they're tension shackles.

I like that cowl tie in with the cage.
With the cab already bent people can't nit pick you on the gaps though, you can just say the cage is straight and the cab isn't.

Here's where my failure was on my steering mount. All 3 of my TMR tube clamps bent up
Got it all pulled apart and will get them straitened out and look at something to beef it up a bit
Also got a some new dip sticks, One for the motor as well as my trans. Lokar Anchortite, great quality but still too much for a damn dipstick
