Camping spots out west

The long weekend coming up my daughter and I are heading west, to Houston for a couple days and then out to Stewart and back. Being I’m leaving the long weekend I know I’m busy trying to get a camping spot. I’m not really planning on wheeling. First night I think we will be in Fraser lake area, which I don’t know well. Are there any decent campsites that are close to the area but maybe off the grid a bit and not as busy? Houston I’d like to go out to Morice lake, it’ll be busy the long weekend I’m sure. But I might just visit friends and family for a day then roll to Stewart and back and catch Morice lake during the week. Any spots I must see along the way?
