nice, thats a good sizeScoobienorth wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 4:32 pm37x12.5r17. “C” load rated though. I run pretty light and mostly street use and even when I’m offroad aside from deep snow I rarely use 4wd up here.

Re: Link
Well I did pretty good on my alignment, finally took it in and it was fairly close out of the box. I was off center 1/2” but I knew that, I had to evacuate from the forest fire and slammed the new track bar in so I could leave. Never finished it. I’m happy I got the caster as close as I did with an old analog angle finder

Well I purposely didn’t get the blind spot monitoring specifically because I knew I would knock a taillight out. First trip with the bfg’s and I got into a spot on knocked a taillight out on a tree. So know I’m trying to glue it back together

Re: Link
The taillights really stick out on those things. I'm guessing knocking them off is a common problem for anyone who wheels them. Is there any real solution or just glue/screw them until they're too beat up and then replace?

Re: Link
Oracle makes a flush mount led but these leds are factory and really good and reliable. I remember when the jl came out and the first jl/jt experience run by Mel Wade from Evo manufacturing went to the east coast and I think they broke 20 something taillights the first day. It’s kinda a thing. I need sliders that act as a step and that’ll help keep the body away and some sliders for the overhang behind the box should help keep stuff away. If I’d have had my grands I wouldn’t have gotten into the mess. I checked up decided to turn around in an open off camber section between two slides. I slid downhill towards the bank. If I’d have hit the second bigger washout I’d probably have cleaned it in a couple hits. Would have been better than traction boards and cutting trees. But that’s the new rig issues. The beater that you don’t care about takes less damage because you focus on actually making a line. One hesitation in the slick conditions and it is over

Just wondering what others think. Looking into a front bumper. Thinking a tmr stubby front bumper but don’t really want a heat score. The full width stuff gets expensive or they tend to be really light material like 11 gauge steel which I question its durability Under hard recoveries. I’d prefer bare steel because I can easily powder coat it at work and add more stripper glitter to it.

Re: Stripper glitter
I think that bumper won't be too much of a heat score. You see guys with them all the time. You could add some little wings onto it that angle upwards to be more "legal" I suppose?
Name change is an upgrade too.

Re: Stripper glitter
Little forklift flex test. I’ve ordered a Currie anti rock for the front. This is my stock bar unhooked in the pics. 32” to the lowest part of the tire. With the sway bar on its 21”. Was hoping for a little more, it’s on par with my white grand Cherokee as is which is surprising as the gladiator has wider axle and longer shocks. I have been kinda grumpy on my small bfg’s but I barely clear them. The low sport fenders are on the chopping block but they’ll wait for the next set of tires.

Re: Stripper glitter
It ain’t much but I did something. Added a box cover. I’ve been super indecisive on this as I want 2 layers of storage but reality I need a box cover for day to day activities Like the shopping mall. What I want to do is build a sliding drawer for the box with stand offs with support for the box cover and build a rack over the cover that’s load bearing. My front sway bar is still on order. And not sure when I’ll get it. So I got tired of northridge taking so long so I ordered smittybilt rock sliders that should be here next week. Not the greatest or best looking, but the ones I wanted were months out, and the others were way too expensive considering most of what they do is to be stood on and stop road debris from hitting the doors.

Got a big heavy box that made the delivery guy work today. Working piles of overtime lately so not sure when I’ll get it installed

My rock sliders. I’ve got some powder coating to do on them on some of the trim panels.
