When he puts the rear diff in he’s pushing it rearward and will recut the wheel well. The inside tub is already as big as it can be. It’s from the seat mount to the back fender. It’s a bit rusty so there might be some sheetmetal work, but being an autobody tech he makes short work of that stuff.

Here’s 2 of the beat old wheels from the red wj. Spent some coffee breaks and lunch time after hours stiff at work with the sand blaster and powder coating

If you don’t have one buy one. You won’t know how you lived without one once you have one

You can burn engine oil in it but it soots up pretty bad if you filtered it it would be better. I only tried it with Diesel engine oil. I get used cooking oil from restaurants and cut it with diesel or kerosene for the best burnScott Cee AKA 2drx4 wrote:Can you burn waste oil in that thing?

For now he’s running my stock wj springs. Was talking about adding a 1-2” spacer for the time being so he can add longer springs later.

Re: Picture of the day thread!
It’s been quite the project for him. Year and a half setting it up. From designing the suspension, buying parts as he could afford it, rebuilding the diffs, building new front fenders. He sent a video to me showing a staggeringly large amount of play in the Mitsubishi front end wheel bearings and tie rods. Was definitely time to swap it over.
