Re: ADHD build
How much clearance do you have between the 271 and the frame web when it's clocked up like that?

Re: ADHD build
36" 80s frame, right?
I'm basically wondering if I can fit a 271 into a 32" frame without offsetting the trans so much that I have to start hammering firewall and tunnel.

Re: ADHD build
i can measure this weekend but i wouldnt think it would fit. its really tall tcase as its rotated up now so flat on the bottom but taller then the frame rail. also really wide, like i might have to build a new trans crossmember as the angled mount from the top of the frame to the crossmember might be in the way of the drive shaft nowarse_sidewards wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 8:48 am 36" 80s frame, right?

Re: ADHD build
drilled some new holes in the cab and used some OBS ford body mounts and got the rear of the cab mounted, front is still sitting on wood. with the cab "mounted" i took some measurements and cut 14" out of the frame to make the short box i have fit
fish plate
nice and short, sitting at about 117 wheel base

Re: ADHD build
had to trim the rear of the box and its just sitting there for right now but wanted to get it on there and see how it lined up with the cab. its a "wrong" box so the body lines dont match but from what ive found for pictures i have it pretty close to matching the cab
with the box on i was wanting to get a real feel for it so finally got around to mounting my 39s up. picked up some Black Rhino beadlocks like a year ago, really liking the look of them
and damn that looks good
will have to do some fender trimming on the front for sure
