finished the header, all mig welded and ground down so smoothish so looks like poo but when i do header wrap on it you wont see it.



Y pipe under the trans and pass side. i had a big 2-1 Y adapter that i used but its pretty big and ugly so not happy with that but it works





wanted something little better then just a turn down pointed at the ground after the muffler. so more pie cuts



and of course i ran out of gas so didnt get to weld it up

when i was working on the rear limiting straps and bump stops i hit my trans cooler with the zip cut like an idiot. was looking at replacing the cooler i had but it has doubled in price since i got it, so started to look at other options. after a bit of thinking ive decided to use my cooler that was my steering cooler as its bigger then the trans one i had. when i change my ps pump i wont need as big of a cooler for that system.

new cooler is to big to fit beside the fuel cell like i had it. after playing around with few different spots i found it fits perfectly under my seat.





added some more tube. double B pillar that is more just for looks, floor tubes and dash bar

got the exhaust welded up and hangers installed, so other then the o2 bung i forgot to add the exhaust is done

so started on some aluminum panels so can start figuring out pedals ect. and as you can see i put green tape on the chassis then transferred to the aluminum, worked pretty well but im sure there are better ways of doing it







now i can sit in there and make all the race car noises

With tape and cardboard you can template pretty much anything.

been working on the panels still and starting to look like something

can see it in the last picture i added some round stock to the shoulder height bar as that is for the seat belts as didnt give myself enough room for doing bolt tabs

still working on the interior stuff.

plan is to run the coolant lines, fuel line and electrical through the cab area. so built a tray for everything to sit in. will have a cover to protect stuff and i did do side plates but took the picture before doing that for some reason



trans tunnel, its bigger then it needs to be but gives me room to run all the hoses under it



shifter is mounted, used a chunk of semi truck step i had laying around. also mocked up the pedals and do have to move them around a bit but looks like i can use the throttle pedal that was in the truck so thats a bonus

Yeah, it looks like it works better than what most people do. Plus some of the tabs people use seem a little suspect in regards to being pretty sharp on the edges.

finishing up the floor and cab area

filled in under the seats and around the base of the seat mounts





cable shifter for the tcase. i bought this a few years ago and its ment for a NP208 but after flipping the bracket it works great for my NV271



started on dash/gauge/switch lay out. picked up some trailer light boxes and turned them into boxes for all that stuff





second one is between the seats and holds all the switches for lights and that crap

3rd attempt at a steering column and finally happy with it. found some bronze bushings that are a perfect fit in some DOM

Good idea on the trailer light boxes. They're just like project boxes for electronics, but not plastic.

the light boxes was the easy way to get what i wanted as dont have a break or anything to bend sheet metal ect
