Re: Durkota
I dont know boys. The nv4500 was a lot skinnier than my 727. I can notch the pan but its still too close.

Re: Durkota
The problem is the panhard moves the diff towards the driver side as it comes up. Ive said screw the bigblock for now bolting the 360 in. Might raise the ride height later and put a big block in once i build a real engine.
Re: Durkota
Im not saying no to cutting the trans tunnel but im definately sticking with the smallblock for now. Back to waiting for parts. Going to order a clutch and other odds and ends i need to put the drivetrain in. Tore the carpet out to see hoe my seats will fit
Re: Durkota
Planned original. 11-1 solid roller 360. Ported heads etc. It better be atleast 450-500hp.
Re: Durkota
Did a crossmember delete
Decided on a crossmember/skid plate design. Its pretty light only 1/8" but il probably add some braces and dimples
Clutch should be here tomorrow, hopefully i can install the engine tomorrow but I think hmf is going to have to machine me a pilot bearing adaptor first.-

Yeah, I think you're going to have to add something to that piece of 1/8" if you're not planning to have it look like a banana in a hurry.

Re: Durkota
I dont doubt that. Its also stupid simple to replace with 1/4" later if i want to.Scott Cee AKA 2drx4 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:23 pm Yeah, I think you're going to have to add something to that piece of 1/8" if you're not planning to have it look like a banana in a hurry.
Re: Durkota
Just run flat bar on edge in there as bracing and it will be fine. You can run it from one cross member to the other and it will add even more space. Guys do belly pans with link mounts out of 1/4" plate and flat bar this wayMr.gutsy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 7:13 amI dont doubt that.
