Re: HudsonBay Bomber
So spent an hour or so getting this thing fired up to bring back into the shop for some work. I originally planned to do an efi swap but still can’t get the kit I want. So I ordered up a Amazon carb to replace the original one. I had just assumed it was an autolite 1100 but it’s not. So I have to do a bit of modifying to make it work. Also will do a governor delete.
Here’s the new 1100 beside the original and governor. PO has already pulled out the restrictor plate out of it but I will still replace the unit with just a simple carb spacer. Just have to build it.

Started on the governor delete/spacer. Here’s the old governor, like I said PO has already pulled out the butterfly but you can see there’s still a big void and some restrictions. Will it make a difference with just a spacer? I don’t really care, the carb just needs to be the same height for ease of installation and new carb linkage doesn’t clear the governor
Cut out some flanges
And some 1.5” pipe and cleaned it up on the lathe
And just need to weld it up but you get the idea
