Yeah it was fully cranked reverse clutch drop in about 40 inches of water. They come off with a hammer and punch, or use a gear puller, they're a separate piece and just a mild press fit. I think they all have them.

This is funny. I did this very thing back when I had my black rubicon. Decided to drag race a cobalt, because I hated cobalts and guys that thought they were fast, locked the rear diff, told the flagger of the race to give me a little extra room in case I got out of shape off the line, revved it up to 4500 rpm, with 33” truxus mt’s at 20 psi and side stepped the clutch on pavement, the female side of the slip collar on my rear driveshaft blew apart, sending big chunks of steel out both sides of the Jeep, then had to send a friend to my house to get tools so I could remove it. The driveshaft shop nearly shit a brick when the custom driveshaft i bought came back in a couple months blown up. They did wind up finding me forged parts to make a stronger one, but I gave up street racing with the Jeep, my Subaru would hold full throttle clutch drops, I thought 4500rpm and only rear wheel drive was taking it easy on it. It disagreed
