Nice work man, looks deadly. On the 3/4 ton brake swap, I did the TMR kit on my D60, I was actually surprised on the weight savings and it also gave me better braking with my setup

I didn't think TMR made a brake kit for the 05+ superduty front?
The way the stock caliper mounts are makes it difficult to adapt anything but a wilwood caliper. I made it work with some weld on brackets and grinding of the knuckle, it works but I'm not 100% happy with it.
I finished up the one ton swap last weekend and took it out for a shakedown run friday night, went great until I ran it a little bit and blew a rad hose apart, and then ran out of propane... Doh!
Went out Saturday for shakedown run number 2, went great until I sent a rod through the block... Been knocking for over a year now so it's kinda nice to be able to start again with a fresh stove.
Should be running again tomorrow in time for a Sunday snow chew.

Hmm, that rod came out at a high velocity.
Going to do anything special for the new engine?

Not just yet.Scott Cee AKA 2drx4 wrote:Hmm, that rod came out at a high velocity.

I found a low milage 22re with out rod knock, lol. And it was free so hard to say no.
Already swapped it in and wheeled it a couple times. Seems way happier.
I'm thinking a tuned TDI might be in the future though. Swapped one into my Hilux this fall and it's friggin rowdy.
Kinda tired of working on junk and just want to wheel it though so that'll have to wait.
