Kinda surprised me a bit, the top kick I saw had a pretty cheesy looking front diff in it for its size. Apparently not that one. They are still pretty oddball and heavy to use though aren’t they?pointsnorth wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 4:27 pmTop one is the Dana 70 topkickScoobienorth wrote:Okay. He wanted to upgrade trans, tcase for more gearing options so he could crawl better and still Highway, but current timing budget restraints won’t let him, so with his offset rear tcase output and short rear driveshaft, he’s looking at land cruiser diffs, looking like 60 series is the right width for 37’s with less offset to try and keep it narrowish. He’s going to stretch wheelbase enough for 37’s.
Man good thing he didn’t see my wheeling wj, it’s really hacked for the stuff they build, he asked if I had mechanical aptitude, told him I drive and work on my own Jeeps. Apparently that was enough. I can see my builds getting cleaner though, the attention to detail on these carts is pretty high so I’m sure it’ll rub off.Scott Cee AKA 2drx4 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 24, 2021 6:48 pm That actually seems like it would be a lot of fun.
Did having "I build WJs, they're basically fat golf carts" on your resume get you the job?![]()
