HudsonBay Bomber

You say it’s got a four speed trans in it like a np435?

If so a 60 degree bell housing for a chev would be a easy swap I believe.

Otherwise look into the Ford 2.3 especially the marine applications

Same trans that would be in a Pinto, I'm not sure what model.

2.3 Indmar would be bad to the bone :smokin:

Poked round on it Sunday evening, Went to remove the front half of the cab and couldn't because the PO extended the mount for the plow so it could be raised higher, unfortunately it prevents the cab from coming off, and to remove the mount you need to remove the cab.. :headbang: Looks like they tried to remove it as the cab which is fiberglass was broken right there. I do like how high the blade raises so I opted to notch out the cab. Ill make a removable aluminum plate to cover the notch.

The gauge cluster is part of the fiberglass so had to mess around with wiring to remove it. I eventually found the factory harness plugs and got them cleaned up. I know Im not the best wiring guy as I don't have alot of patience for it but holy shit was there some hackery going on. Cut most of it out which was for the fuel pump, lights and old radio.

With the cab off you get get to the guts of it pretty easy

Hmm, there's not much going on under there. I somehow expected more.

Little more done the other day. Pulled the tank out and floor boards
Image

Big watery greasy mess in the belly pan. I drilled some drain holes and will clean up what I can
Image

Pulled the plow off. I will make up some new pins and get new quick connects for the lines to make it somewhat easy to mount. I plan to have a winch up front and will tie into the plow mounts with the same pins so I can swap between the 2 easily but the winch will most likely be on there most of the time

The drive train is a really simple setup, and everything is super easy to come apart to access components, actually nice to work on

Yeah, but I can't see it letting go with the stock powerplant.

Your not wrong. That shaft is pretty stout and looks like 1350 joints. Should handle the mighty 60hp it puts out, the floor board doesn’t really give me a lot of confidence :homer:
