Re: Meme me up
That is so brian in the Mitsubishi Jeep. I seen him do 3 long days of serious wheeling back to back no big deal. Most people when fairly tough give up after a couple hours in his Jeep especially in the snow. He uses one hand and just palms the steering wheel scores wheeling now or in the mall parking it.pointsnorth wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 7:39 am

Re: Meme me up
Reminds me of an experience I had recently trying to buy some Dodge wheels. I asked if he would sell the wheels separately from the tires, and he corrected me by saying "The rims you mean?"

If he's palming the wheel with manual steering column bearing must be a regular maintenance item for him then.Scoobienorth wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 7:45 amThat is so brian in the Mitsubishi Jeep. I have manual steering in my Ranger. It's really not that bad once you get used to it. It gives you a lot more feel for where the tires are, what's pushing on what, etc. I used to have a 2:1 quickener installed backwards but that was too much reduction. 1.5 might be good. Maybe when I add a winch and winch bumper I'll do that.
