Re: Super Shopper Special
Worked on the “cold air intake” started hacking together the filter mount/heat shield
Should sit somewhere along the lines of this.
Pics make it look like the compressor is right up in there but it’s actually sitting down in the pocket

Looks like that should work good. I really need to change the setup in my XJ, I'm just asking to suck water with it.

Re: Super Shopper Special
Had a bit of time last night to do a few things. Welded it together and started the intake tube, hacked up an old drive shaft for it and finished the small mounting tabs.
I did a few other misc items but nothing really pic worthy. Hopefully finish this junk up tonight

Super Shopper Special
So finished up two items on the list. Painted and mounted the compressor and mounting plate
And the intake. Had to up size the tube on the inside to 4” for the filter. Had some lefter over exhaust that worked minty
Added a bung for the valve cover breather and painted up.

Looks good!
Have you considered buying a better filter? I'm running a Volant Powercore, can't say enough good about it.

Re: Super Shopper Special
Thanks for the concerns about the filter boys obviously it will be getting cleaned as its covered in cobwebs from sitting on my shelf for the last few years. Its a K&N unit and will work just fine for my application with a good cleaning.Snowracer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 8:41 amId start with just cleaning the filter he has as im sure that would be an improvementScott Cee AKA 2drx4 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 10:11 pm Looks good!

If i was going to build s jeep the zj would be my only choice. Much nicer looking than any other jeep imo and v8 option is the only way to go. Looking nice so far
