Durkota
Re: Durkota
Had no room for my headers so had to go stainless line to route my clutch line where i wanted. A little drillpress machinework because nothings ever a bolt in.

Re: Durkota
Looks good. Careful you don't melt it though if the clearances are tight, some of those line's innards can't take that much temperature and the SS braiding doesn't really help to keep them cool.
Re: Durkota
Its on my mind im thinking i will probably build a heatshield and maybe even wrap the line with something. Theres a few things left to do but i think the next major thing is ordering an "orbital"Scott Cee AKA 2drx4 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 5:18 pm Looks good. Re: Durkota
Summit sells some cheap velcro foil wrap that honestly works really well. Probably get it on Amazon or Tdot too, since I think it's Russel Perfomance brand.Mr.gutsy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 6:07 pmIts on my mind im thinking i will probably build a heatshield and maybe even wrap the line with something. Re: Durkota
Portaband table has changed my life probably could have built a table myself now that i know how simple it is but anyways. Got my orbital and my header kit and hammered out the easy side. Gotta mock up the orbital tonight. I probably should have bought 1 3/4 primaries not 1 7/8s.
Re: Durkota
Ran out of welding wire tonight but got the orbital where i think i want it. I was able to use my stock steering shaft and just cut it down a little bit works mint. Making my own exhaust gaskets sucks! The metal layer really makes it a pain. I have an idea for tomorrow though.

Re: Durkota
I could put the diff wherever i wanted and my dumbass stil set it too far back i think i have enough adjustment in my links to push it forward an inch or two which should be enough to make life easier. This headers going to suuuuuck. Bodymounts will melt and im pretty sure my clutch line will melt its not as close as it looks though.

Re: Durkota
I’m opposite with my front axle I don’t like how it sits out so far but to clear the motor and stay low that’s as close as I can get it. Other wise I’d be monster trucking it to clear the motor.

Re: Durkota
Are you worried about your steering lines with your orbital mounted in that orientation? Might just be the pic but looks like your lines will be right in the "wheel well" might be a little susceptible to damage?Mr.gutsy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 10:47 pm I could put the diff wherever i wanted and my dumbass stil set it too far back i think i have enough adjustment in my links to push it forward an inch or two which should be enough to make life easier.
