Scheduled server upgrade

Post by Administrator »

On Friday May 8th the server we're on is supposed to get a new motherboard and drives. This should result in a noticeable performance increase. Our host has claimed they will try to do this in a manner that will not cause outages, but I have limited faith in that.

So, if things aren't working right on Friday, that's why.

At some point I still need to go to the latest version of the forum software, which I think will solve some of the other performance issues. I'm still trying to find the best time to do this as it takes a few hours if it goes well, and may take a lot longer if it doesn't. I will let you know ahead of time on this too.
