The machine came with a pair of chains that I was assured are for it. They are not. :homer:

They're worn out pretty badly and too long, but I need them to work right now. So, I cut them down.

They now fit poorly, but they work.

I need to look into how kosher it is to run chains on all 4 tires on these things. It's still lacking traction. I may have to order up some v-bars for it.

Any terrain that requires chains is gonna have less traction than rubber on concrete. I wouldn't worry about the machine taking it.

Yeah, after using it a bit I'm betting V-bars on all 4 will still not be a ton of traction.

I blew a hose or line for the loader hydraulics, can't tell which, made a huge fucking mess. I'm hoping I have some time today to dig into it to look. Guessing I should have swapped out the hoses when I had the engine out. :homer:

Yeah, should have replaced some hoses when I had the engine out. :homer:

New ones. You've got to pull the cylinder off the loader to get at them, but it's actually surprisingly easy to do that and yeah, should have just done it before.

That said I didn't change the ones on the other side. :lmao: I'm sure that will bite me in a couple weeks.

I also fixed up a bunch of the wiring and put a couple little LED light pod things on it. It's way better, I can actually see, and maybe cars can see me when I'm on the road.

Also, the machine came with glass fuses for everything. I didn't have any decent breakers around, I'm guessing I threw out the 500+ ones I had that were used, but I had a couple breaker switches and just swapped them in. I might still order a new blinky light for it, the one I had was too big and just wouldn't mount right.

Purchased a 850dollar 642b that was told it had a bad head gasket. Turned out it had a cracked block. Finally got it rebuilt and put the engine back in my 642b and not getting any spark. Looking for some help here. Can someone assist with the wiring? The starter side I believe is good. Looking for assistance with the wiring on the coil and distributor. I have two blue wires in a loom on the right side going to each side of the white block mounted on the side of the coil. The wire that comes from the distributor is on the bottom bolt of the coil and the top wire goes to one of the lugs on the white block. Is that correct? The only other wire I am unsure where it goes is a white 16ga wire that is bolted on the same spot the negative battery cable is mounted to the frame of the skid. Also still has points so most likely going to go with the Petronius but uncpsure what to remove when doing so. Any help is greatly appreciated.
