have heard of people having issues with the clamps not holding the ram tight when not using 4 clamps.

seen some guys build ram stops so even if the clamps loosen the ram cant move.

Top Ramen

Drinking beers in the shop last night I think I’ve got the ram mount figured out. I may have also talked myself into chopping the rear frame rails lol

So there was more of this    at the shop and some bench wheelin. The night finished off with me chopping the rear frame rails off. I never liked the way I had doglegged the frame out but it was the quickest way at the time to make it a roller. I also realized that the way I had mounted the springs was not optimal either. This opens up my options for a larger fuel cell too

Next up I tried a couple different options but finally settled up on what offers the best triangulation imo. At the same time I moved the rear spring mounts out which creates a trapezoid in the spring setup that should make it Handle better

The previous picture also shows the rear springs frenched into the tube. I’ll be going with a curved shackle to clear the rear bumper tube as soon as my acrdriod shows up.

There is still a bunch of tubing I need to add and a few critical gussets but it’s back to being a roller

Snap-On tape measure? Damn, that thing is probably worth more than the whole build.

It’s actually cheaper then the ones that the industrial shop sells down the street.
