Toyodathon …a Toyota Truggy
Re: Active logging Toyota Truggy
Another weekend in the shop.
Spent too much time on that rear bar but not bad for the first tube I have bent in a while. Compound bend was tricky and I missed by a couple degrees to follow the cab lines exactly but it actually works out better as gives me more clearance for the bars by the window. With this I also dont have to bend the roof bars down to reach the rear.
Also got the rear spreader welded in and another in further up for the floor. I have to wait until I have the back half done before I start completely laying out the floor.
Boat sides are all welded up other than the cab isnt welded to them fully yet.Spent too much time on that rear bar but not bad for the first tube I have bent in a while. Looks really good for being the first bent tube in a while. I'm fully prepared fo wreck a couple sticks whenever the next time I try bending tube is just because it's been so long.
Which bender do you use?

Yeah, I've got the same one, need to track down the stuff to convert it to hydro.
Re: Active logging Toyota Truggy
Well only had Sunday to work on it this weekend as was "working my magic" on Mr. Gutsy's rad all Saturday. Got a decent amount done and figured out some more stuff on how I'm going to do it. Have a plan set out for the rear frame and got it all layed out so the winch, fuel cell, batteries, rad, trans cooler aswell as a tote for storage.
The rear hoop is nice and close to cab so the bars by the windows needed a bend to clear it. Still have to break the tacks on the frame to remove the hoop and fully weld it up before it gets welded on permanently Had to tack the bottom of the rear frame on to get everything layed out still needs more tube yet. She's gonna be short out back.

Re: Active logging Toyota Truggy
It's a chase bar so outer 2 pods are red(signal, brake) second in are flashing amber lights and middles are reverse lights. I dont think they will do much more than light up the back of the truck but will give them a shot. Everyone is going to hate riding behind me with those ambers haha
