Out snow wheeling on Monday and towards the end of the day my rpm’s would stay up and keep the power on after my throttle body was closed. Rpm’s would hang for 5-10 seconds then slowly drop off. I limped it home and just before I got home it cleared up. Really weird.

Too lazy to scroll back and see what engine you're running but sounds like sticky IAC to me.

It’s a stock 4.0. I was kinda suspecting a throttle position sensor as they are a usual culprit for random issues

Small thing. But it’s done. I deleted the spare tire. I’ve hit it a couple times and not tried a couple things because it was in the way. I’ve got wiring issues to clean up back there eventually as well since I removed the trailer wiring/back up lights on logs. The wires for the center light I’m not sure where it goes as it goes into the door but not out. Maybe it goes through the hinge but seems weird. It quit working a while ago so maybe I removed that when I removed the trailer wiring. Also I really don’t like the 2 door jeeps with the weight behind the rear axle. The gladiator really needs the weight off the spare behind the axle, under the bed is nice as it’s low as well. Really helps the rear start planted but the 2 dr unloads so much on the steep climbs.

Small gains. I changed my thermostat today. Was supposed to be a quick job, before I got to cleaning up the trailer wiring I ripped off, but it took 4 hours or better, removed it 3 times, couldn’t get it to wit leaking before I finally got it. Made a huge mess in the shop at work and all over my engine bay. Then I installed my Sony marine deck I got so I can finally have music.
