Modding my useless floor jack.

I bought this jack just to change tires in my driveway. You have to kinda see my driveway to understand, but basically there's a concrete pad that's not near my shop, the rest is gravel. I got sick of carrying my stupid heavy one over there to do it, and purchased and returned a couple light weight jacks before settling on this piece of junk.

Problem is it didn't go high enough. And the pad on it was so poorly secured/fitting that it would tip and cause the jack to slip off an axle tube. Absolute shit design.
Not wanting to spend money on this I dragged out some scrap. Yes, that's an ABS tone ring from a ZJ. I knew it would come in handy some day!

Stacked it all up like this.

Then used the Curtis Warner approved method of "Just pile the weld on and hope it holds" to stick it all together.
I then bolted this abortion on so it can't rock or slip.

At least it actually works now.![LMAO :lmao:](./images/smilies/laughing2.gif)
