I think around a foot. It overhangs a lot and personaly i think it looks weird. I would like to have room for a rear 8274 winch while having a spare tire lay flat in the box and keep lots of departure angle
that is going to have a pretty gnarly stance :pimp:

so instead of making the box fit the wheelbase you are saying make the wheelbase fit the box?
Would give a bit more room for trail beers

My wheelbase is 118-119 i think which is longer than what i was shooting for. I wanted to run an 8274 in the back but i think now i will look for a 10k laydown.

ah, i was 112 or so with my toyota and always felt it would have been better longer.

i was trying to get 115-118 out of it when i chopped it up before i parted it out to build the buick. now i'm at ~122 or 3 and it makes me nervous about being too long

what about laying a 8274 down under the bed. I recall seeing a few alaskan moose buggies with that setup years ago

Looks petty sweet!
If you want it shorter, why not pull the box and section the frame and box in front of the axle?
Either way, your departure angle will be much better!

Getting the winch mounted today. Its mounted to a 1/4" plate that bolts to captive nuts in the frame so i drop it down to replace or service the winch. Im waiting on some channel for the rear bumper. Im wiring the control box into the side of my box side hopefully it will stay out of harms way there

No the channel will be welded to the frame and be bolted to the winch plate everything should only stick out 2"s past the tailgate. The roller fairlead that came with the winch is super gay i might buy a hawse to replace it because it sticks out so far
