Maybe they meant to write "2-4" instead of "24"

They'd fix the instructions though, wouldn't they?

So it runs, but smokes like a bastard. I believe I have a pressurized oil leak in the turbine "seal" if you can call it that. Apparently that is often caused by too much oil pressure, and I have a ton, so I'm gonna address that angle before just throwing a turbo at it.

Larger drain is the first step, I kinda assumed that 3/8 was too small, but it's what I had at the time. Bumping it up to 5/8 is the plan. Being a journal bearing turbo (a t25? from a 98 Saab if anyone is curious) people say you *shouldn't* need an oil feed restrictor, but I got one from the Amazon just in case, and I'll drill it out to the 1.8 or 2mm people say to run for journals.

Also started figuring out how to vent the valve cover to vacuum, cause I understand venting it to boost is less than ideal. I quickly whipped up a way to mount an air cleaner for the time being, I will move it and probably add a snorkel in the not too distant future.

You definitely need a bigger oil drain line than you had. Your new one might be okay, but honestly I'd go bigger if you can. Also try to make sure it's as straight as possible, or any bends are very gradual.

Most of the online kits were An10 fittings and -10 line, so I figured it would be safe, and I think I guessed right. No more smoky clouds everywhere, I briefly had some 5/8 clear tubing plumbed in there just to make sure oil wasnt backing up, and I had plenty of spare room for flow.

I think that bug is worked out, now to finish cleaning up lines, finish a fan shroud, and start messing with some tuning.
