Re: The FSU trail buggy build
Looks like you've got enough chassis bracing in the rear there... If that fails other things are going to be pretty dickered.

It's probably fine but I don't like that the bump stop isn't at a node.

Re: The FSU trail buggy build
the winch crossmember ties into the backside of the air bump mount. if it was an issue im sure we would have heard about it with other tmr chassisarse_sidewards wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 3:42 am It's probably fine but I don't like that the bump stop isn't at a node.

Re: The FSU trail buggy build
like Pointsnorth said there is so much other bracing close by with the winch mount and vertical tube i added that i dont see it being an issue. if i wanted to go full over kill i could cut a plate fill in behind the bump can in the chassis but that does feel like a bit much right nowarse_sidewards wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 3:42 am It's probably fine but I don't like that the bump stop isn't at a node.

Re: The FSU trail buggy build
I would have just used a couple links of chain for the length adjustment.

Re: The FSU trail buggy build
still haven't worked on this in a while but did need to move it in the shop so tossed the 44s on and put it at bump. belly height is 12" and roof is 72". seeing it like this has gotten me all pumped to get back to this so maybe start working on it again soon
