A couple months back he attempted a big ditch/deac and spun out and came backwards really hard, destroyed his tire carrier, to the point he could barely remove his tire while unbolted. Odds are good he hit the shackle hard at the same time. He’s came backwards off of stuff pretty hard a lot of times and he hangs up on the shackles so that’s the best odds to what happened. I’ve been bugging him for coils for a long time so it might be getting to that time for the rear, stretch the wheelbase and links

Re: Shuswap boys winter wheeling thread
Dirt chimp put a 3.5” terraflex lift with the falcon 3.3 shocks and 37” nitto trail grapplers. Works awesome. My milestar out perform them to. I was 10 psi and needed to drop lower but never did and out did the pair of rubicon’s all day except in the big deac where they lifted tires. I went first and second, first time I missed the line and hung up badly. Second attempt I lifted where momentum stopped and shouldn’t have. Got sideways in it and had to winch out eventually. Hero snow though and lots of Hammer down fun today . Dirt chimp will have lots of footage from today. Should be a good video. Steve lifted his front tires up a couple feet high and landed on a big log that bent his tcase skid. Nice weather out too.

Got to say it was definitely fun. Got to give Scott in the jl props. We through him into the deep end from the start and he’s been game. 6 psi on stock tires, now modified and went straight to 4psi and not afraid to follow, still learning lines and things but he’s got a good feel for it and the jk rubicon with the 8 speed auto is a great stock platform. So much better than the jk.

My mom at 72 years old decided she wanted go out with us up into the snow, tired of being house bound during this pandemic, so we went in search of snow. Found a coils feet of sugary crap snow and beautiful weather. Tested the rev limiter a fair bit again and it still works well.

Re: Shuswap boys winter wheeling thread
Sunday was a tough day of wheeling for my minivan. Sat on tow duty all day. Yanking on jk’s from one side of the frame rail kept yanking me cross ways and dropping a tire off the road and I’d wind up in the ditch. I used my winch more times on Sunday than I did all last winter. One newb in the jk was problem and didn’t take instruction well. I bent the front bumper pulling it. One bad hill where I’m backed in the ditch I broke trail up it then towed 3 jeeps up. Including the jl rubi on nittos but he was last and it was damn icy. I burned all my fuel Towing. More than the guys breaking trail. Day would up with one lady falling and hit her arm. It looked broken and she fainted 3 times in the bush and was going into shock so she got a “quick” trip out in the jl rubi to the hospital.
